AUZOXIME 100 DT is an oral antibiotic tablet that contains cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin, primarily used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections in both children and adults. It is commonly used for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, ear, nose, and throat infections, sinus infections, some sexually transmitted infections like uncomplicated gonorrhea, and other susceptible bacterial infections.

Uses

• Treats infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media (middle ear infection), throat and urinary tract infections, and uncomplicated gonorrhea.

• Effective against a range of bacteria but not useful for viral infections like cold or flu.

Dosage and Administration

• The tablet is dispersible (“DT” stands for dispersible tablet), meaning it should be dissolved in water before consumption for easier administration, especially in children.
