AUZOXYMOX-CV-DDS is an oral suspension antibiotic primarily used to treat bacterial infections in children, including those of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, skin, urinary tract, and teeth. It contains two active ingredients: amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic) and clavulanic acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). This combination increases the spectrum of antibacterial action and overcomes resistance caused by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.

• Augmentin DDS Suspension treats bacterial infections such as middle ear infections, sinus infections, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, bone and joint infections, and dental infections.

• It is particularly useful against bacteria that produce beta-lactamase, which makes them resistant to other antibiotics.

• Sometimes prescribed for resistant forms of tuberculosis in children.

Dosage and Administration

• The medication is usually given two to three times a day, as prescribed by a doctor, with the dose depending on the severity and type of infection as well as the patient’s age and weight.

• It should be taken with food to help increase absorption and reduce stomach upset.

Side Effects
